The Bank of Central Florida Team continues to grow as Abel Marte steps into his role as a Treasury Management Officer. Abel has served almost 20 years in banking and will be supporting the Polk County market. His focus on serving clients is understanding what their business needs and how to utilize banking solutions efficiently to optimize cash flow. Abel’s desire to provide excellent service to clients is reflective of the bank’s core value of remaining client-focused.
He recently discussed more about his experience assisting clients, and how he can provide his expertise as an impactful contribution to their lasting growth.
A Professional Introduction
Mr. Marte’s start in treasury management began after graduating from the City University of New York with a degree in Computer and Information Technology Administration. While working professionally in different positions and industries, his mentor suggested a career move to banking, something he had never considered before. But in that moment, it started to make sense.
With his understanding of rising digital tools and his previous professional experience, Abel’s determination to better serve clients drove him to identify a better fitting role to pursue wholeheartedly: treasury management officer. He then looked for available positions, and he found Bank of Central Florida.
Treasury Management in a Community Bank
Since joining their team, Abel works with clients towards managing their cash flow more efficiently, supporting them through direct interaction. With the continued presence of fraudulent threats, Abel knows that Treasury Management Officers are essential to educating clients on preventative steps they can take to deter fraudsters. “The knowledge level of a Treasury Management Officer can help a client understand what can help protect their assets,” he explains, “By providing clients with the knowledge they need, it can help them proactively avoid fraudulent situations from the start.”
Working in Treasury Management at a community bank also allows Abel to provide clients with the best personalized solutions rather than simply offering what solutions are available. “More technology or tools doesn’t always translate to more financial success or efficiency for a client,” he continues, “The connectivity [with clients] helps facilitate solutions, which translates to a better relationship with a client and a better banking experience.”
Treasury Management + Relationship Banking
Not only does a community bank provide personalized solutions, but it reinforces interconnectivity between departments and clients. As Abel continues getting to know the Bank of Central Florida team, he states that the teamwork present between departments allows for the team to facilitate better solutions to clients. “To me, the partnership between clients, the relationship management team, and the treasury management team is non-negotiable,” he expounds, “I can confidently say that Bank of Central Florida’s connectivity with clients allows us to provide efficient solutions quicker and translates to a better client banking experience.” Abel concludes that this connection drives clients forward as they work towards their financial goals.
