Prior to joining Bank of Central Florida, Paul Noris was the Lakeland city president for SunTrust Bank, Mid-Florida. During his sixteen-year career with SunTrust Bank, Mr. Noris spent two years in the retail side of the bank as a branch manager, two years in credit administration managing the credit training function for the bank, one year in the trust and investment area engaged in sales and relationship management, and more than ten years working in the commercial lending department. His time in the commercial area began as a relationship manager and progressed from managing a local unit to managing the commercial lending function for SunTrust Bank, Mid-Florida, while also carrying the title of city president.
Mr. Noris has lived in Lakeland since 1996 and has served on the boards of various civic organizations during that time. He is former chair of the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce, Business Voice, and Leadership Lakeland Class XXXIII. He is the past president of the Explorations V Children's Museum. He currently serves as Chairman of Lakeland Regional Hospital Foundation, Chair of the 2017 United Way Campaign and is on the Advisory Board at the Barney Barnett School of Business at Florida Southern College. He is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XVI. Mr. Noris received his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Florida in 1987.
David Moore has a distinguished banking career with experience at SunTrust Bank, Wachovia Bank, and most recently The Bank of Tampa. As Chief Operating Officer at The Bank of Tampa, Mr. Moore was responsible for leading teams in delivering high-quality banking solutions with a unique client focused experience. Prior to working at The Bank of Tampa, Mr. Moore was a Commercial Team Lead at SunTrust Bank where he focused on hiring, training, and developing commercial relationship managers. Mr. Moore is a graduate from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He currently serves on the Board of the American Heart Association of Tampa Bay and the Tampa Bay History Center.
Michelle has experience as VP Controller at Platinum Bank and Bank of Central Florida for six years. She has been in banking for 14 years with various roles specializing in credit analysis, compliance, and deposit operations. Michelle has also lead team initiatives to implement electronic banking services in efforts to improve efficiency and client experience. She joined the Bank of Central Florida team in January of 2017. Michelle graduated from the Florida School of Banking in 2009, received her MBA from the University of South Florida in 2012 and completed the Graduate School of Banking’s Financial Managers School in 2018.
Prior to joining the Bank of Central Florida, Jim Dugger has had a banking career spanning over thirty years in both Florida and California. Mr. Dugger has been in the Tampa Bay market for over nineteen years where his most recent positions included Chief Credit Officer of Florida Bank, Senior Credit Officer at C1Bank, and Senior Credit Officer at American Momentum Bank. During his career Mr. Dugger has been responsible for all aspects of lending including consumer, residential, and commercial divisions, underwriting, and loan operations. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University majoring in Business Management. Over the years in banking Mr. Dugger has been an active member in his community with various organizations.
Joseph Furnari is a thirty-five year resident of Polk County and received his bachelor’s degree in financial management from Florida Southern College. He spent six years with Metropolitan Life as a sales representative before beginning his banking career with First Union in 1998 (later Wells Fargo). During his twelve year career with Wachovia, Mr. Furnari spent seven years in the retail bank which included three years as a sales leader for both Hillsborough and Polk counties and five years as a commercial banker for Polk County. He is a graduate of Lakeland Leadership Class XXIV.
Robert Wedlock began his 24-year banking career at Sovereign Bank in 1990 after receiving his bachelor's degree in banking and finance from Alvernia College in Pennsylvania. Mr. Wedlock served as Chief Information Officer for First Federal Savings Bank and R-G Crown Bank after relocating to Florida in 2000. In 2006, Mr. Wedlock was named Chief Information Officer of Independent Bankers Bank and was responsible for overseeing new technology for more than 200 banks in Florida. As Director of Technology and Operations at The Norman Group in 2012, Mr. Wedlock developed an outsourced CIO and ISO package. His expertise includes complete bank system migrations due to mergers and acquisitions, new technology deployment conversions, implementation of cost-efficiency automation programs, and creation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
With over 30 years of commercial banking experience, Scott has a comprehensive background in sales, relationship management and leadership execution in the commercial and corporate banking space. He has extensive experience leading high performing teams in business development, sales performance credit underwriting, portfolio management and strategic financial consulting. Prior to joining Bank of Central Florida, Scott spent two years with BBVA Compass Bank and two years at Fifth Third Bank as a Senior Vice President and a Corporate Executive in Orlando. His previous banking experience also includes 22 years with SunTrust Bank in the Atlanta, Georgia and Tennessee markets where he served in various commercial leadership and market executive roles. Scott has always been very involved in the local community with serving on several positions on the Boards of United Way, Chamber of Commerce, and other local organizations.
A native of Pennsylvania, Randell Hollen received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marietta College in 1983. He began his banking career immediately thereafter and moved to Florida in 1985. Since that time, Mr. Hollen has worked with SunTrust Bank and two community banks in commercial banking roles, including all forms of commercial transactions such as real estate, equipment and tax exempt transactions. Mr. Hollen has been a resident of Lakeland since 1991 and has served in various community service roles. He was president of The Lakeland Rotary Club from 2000 – 2001, a Board President of the American Cancer Society in 2006, Board President of Achievement Academy of Polk County, and chairman of Leadership Lakeland Class XVIII. He has also served on the boards of VISTE, United Way of Central Florida, and the Learning Resource Center of Polk County. He is a 1995 graduate of Louisiana State University’s School of Banking of the South and a member of both Leadership Lakeland XIII and Leadership Polk III.
David Brown began his banking career in 1980 after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and History from the University of Virginia and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. Mr. Brown served for eleven years as a Commercial Lender and Community Bank President for Chemical Bank in Holland, Michigan and five years as President & CEO of Firstbank-St. Johns, Michigan. Prior to joining Bank of Central Florida in May of 2013, he spent three years in Lakeland as a Commercial Relationship Manager for SunTrust Bank. Mr. Brown is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXIX and is active in the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce and the Lakeland Economic Development Council. He currently serves as Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Business Department at Polk State College.
Guy Michel moved to Orlando in 1982 after earning a BA from Binghamton University and an MBA in Finance from Penn State. He spent six years with SunTrust in Orlando in the Financial Institutions and Corporate Banking areas before assuming a role as the SVP of Lending for Security National Bank. Guy then became the Senior Lending Officer for RG Crown Bank, managing loan officers and staff in Orlando, Jacksonville, Lakeland, and Augusta, Georgia. Since that time, he has served in senior lending positions for several community banks in the Orlando marketplace.
Bo Boyte, a lifelong resident of Polk County, joined Bank of Central Florida in 2017. He holds an Associate’s degree from Polk State College and a Business Management degree from the University of Florida. Prior to joining our Bank, Mr. Boyte spent 15 years as a financial advisor and business lender in East Polk and Highlands counties, most recently as a Senior Commercial Banker at Wells Fargo. He is active in the Polk County community, having served as President of several organizations including the Lake Wales Rotary Club, Lake Wales Care Center, Lake Wales Family YMCA and the Lake Wales Little League. Mr. Boyte currently serves as a Board member for The Givewell Foundation, Polk State College Foundation ,and Winter Have Rotary Club.
Kim Knaisch joined Bank of Central Florida in November 2018. She holds a Finance degree from Florida Southern College and has more than 16 years of experience in sales and banking. Prior to joining Bank of Central Florida, Ms. Knaisch spent three years as a Vice President and Business Banker with Hancock Whitney Bank. She currently serves on the Steering Committee for EMERGE Lakeland and is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.
With over twenty years of banking experience in the state of Florida, Nicole Irby joined Bank of Central Florida as a commercial banker. Mrs. Irby graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in marketing and public relations. She began her career in Orlando at Bank of America and transferred several years later to SunTrust Bank. In 2009, she moved to Polk County. Currently, Mrs. Irby functions as the secretary in the Winter Haven Economic Development Council, serves as a board member for the Humane Society of Polk County and is a member of the Polk State Corporate College Advisory Board and is a graduate of Leadership Winter Haven, Class XXXIII and Leadership Polk, Class VII.
Daniel Caldwell joined Bank of Central Florida as a Commercial Banker. He has been in banking for nine years with experience in private banking, branch management, and commercial lending. As a Florida native, Mr. Caldwell has spent a majority of his career in Polk and Hillsborough County. Mr. Caldwell is passionate about partnering with business owners in the Polk community to provide innovative financial solutions.
James Garner started his career in banking in 2004 at SunTrust Bank as a branch manager in markets including Lakeland and Plant City. The majority of his time in banking has been as a branch manager. Over the past few years, he has assisted in business banking. Mr. Garner joins Bank of Central Florida as a commercial banker based in Plant City to assist clients with financial solutions and focus on the Plant City market. He is a graduate of Florida Southern College with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Mr. Garner is engaged with his community and currently serves as an Ambassador for the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce.
Jennifer Adams began her career in banking in 1996 and worked in both the retail and business banking arenas for regional banks for eleven years. In 2007, Jennifer joined Bank of Central Florida as its first Private Banker and helped launch the model that the bank maintains today. Growing up in Maitland, FL, she made her home in Lakeland after graduating from Florida Southern College in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. Jennifer is a graduate of Leadership Bartow 2000, Leadership Lakeland Class XXVIII and has served on the board of directors for Alliance for Independence for over 10 years.
Aileen Payne started her banking career as a teller with Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans. She has been in the banking industry for over thirty-nine years. Twenty-eight of those years were with SunTrust Bank in Polk County. She held various positions including, Retail, Operations and as an Annuity Licensed Branch Manager. Ms Payne has spent fifteen years of her twenty-eight year career serving the Lakeland market. She is a graduate of Leadership Winter Haven Class of XXVI. Ms Payne is extremely active in organizations that aid military families of fallen heroes’ in Polk County and surrounding areas. She is a member of the Polk County Veteran’s Council of Lakeland. She is also very active in several community groups serving on the board of Lakeland Kiwanis, VISTE, We Care of Central Florida and South West Elementary School. She is also a volunteer on the CIT group of United Way of Central Florida.
Tom Lloyd joined Bank of Central Florida’s Private Banking team in 2018. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Mr. Lloyd began his career in the financial services industry working for American International Group (AIG) and Raymond James. He then served as a Private Banking Associate for BMO Private Bank in Sarasota for four years working with private banking clients, businesses and non-profits. Mr. Lloyd spent the past three years as a Senior Private Banker with Wells Fargo right here in the Lakeland area. He is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXXVI. In the community, he currently serves as Treasurer on the Executive Board of Directors for Explorations V Children’s Museum, and is also a member of the downtown Lakeland Kiwanis Club.
Trey Barnett has been in banking and finance for 10 years in the Polk County Market. He began his career with Wells Fargo as a Personal Banker. For 5 years, Trey worked at JPMorgan Chase Bank as a Private Client Banker. In his leadership, he was responsible for the role out of Chase Banks Private Client Program in the Lakeland area. Trey’s experience at JPMorgan Chase and JPMorgan securities has provided him a wealth of knowledge in banking, investments, lending and asset management.
In January 2019, Bank of Central Florida welcomed Carman Rich to their Winter Haven Office. Ms. Rich has been in the Polk County market for over 18 years, where her positions included Business Banking Relationship Manager with Chase Bank, Branch Manager at BB&T Bank and Assistant Manager at Regions Bank. During her career, Ms. Rich has been responsible for all aspects of lending including consumer and commercial divisions, as well as operations. She is active in various community-based organizations, including Main Street Winter Haven, where she is the immediate past president.
Nancy LaFountain began her banking career in 1972 with United Banking Group in Coral Gables (now SunTrust Bank), holding positions in operations and cash management sales. After her transfer to Tampa in 1990 and then to Lakeland in 1998, Ms. LaFountain held positions of management and sales specializing in the treasury management area of banking with SunTrust, Republic and Regions banks. Her background also includes operations management, conversion team experience and product management. Ms. LaFountain holds a degree from Miami Dade College. Having been a member since 1990, she is a former membership chair and secretary for the Tampa Bay Treasury Management Association (TBAFP) and continues to be active in the association. Ms. LaFountain holds the designation of Certified Treasury Professional® (CTP).
Linda Harkins began her banking career in 2000 with MBNA America in Belfast Maine where she held several positions including Credit Analyst and Client Service Manager. In 2004 she moved to Lakeland Florida and spent seven years with R.G. Crown and Fifth Third Bank as a branch manager and merchant representative. Over the years Ms. Harkins has been active in the community with various organizations including Special Olympics and United Way.
