A Tampa Bay native, Lauren Fernandez has joined Bank of Central Florida in their Vision 2025 initiative. The goal of the initiative is for the bank to see growth and expansion in Central Florida over the next five years. Hiring Lauren is the next step in seeing that goal realized.

We are Expanding to Tampa Bay

She started her banking career out of college, graduating from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in finance (and Gator athletics spectating). Lauren has a wide range of experience as a relationship manager in commercial banking. Her strategic leadership will be invaluable as we maintain the Bank of Central Florida culture and serve the community of Tampa Bay.

Lauren has also been involved in several boards over the years, including Junior Achievement, BizTown, Florida Aquarium, Hospice and Bridging Freedom. Her involvement in the community is a direct reflection of one of our company’s core values, we care. Investing time and efforts locally is what makes our bank a community bank.

As Lauren steps into her new role at Bank of Central Florida in the Tampa Bay market, she expresses her own love for community banking. “Community banks, in my opinion, are the best banking solution for owner-managed businesses due to their flexibility to provide more customized personal service and local-decision making.”
