One of our Senior Relationship Managers, Jennifer Adams, shares her perspective on what it’s like to be in it for the long haul – and what 15 years at Bank of Central Florida means to her.

In February 2007 — only one month before we opened — Jennifer Adams got hired as our seventh employee. Today, she remains a Senior Vice President and a Senior Professional Relationship Manager, with years of experience serving our clients well.

Jen is proud to have been a key part in shaping the culture at Bank of Central Florida. Over 15 years, Jen has witnessed the bank’s overall growth. “We’ve grown in so many areas. We built a sustainable groundwork to get us to this point, and now, we’re seeing the benefits of it,” says Jen. “I’ve seen so many employees – myself included – develop immensely both personally and professionally over the years. It’s inspiring to see.”

Jen’s favorite part about her career is that she can go visit clients, wherever they are, to provide the highest level of care and attention. “I love what I do. I don’t view it as an obligation; I view it as a responsibility.” Jen believes that, while taking ownership is an important part of any career, it is particularly rewarded at Bank of Central Florida. “I don’t view my job as if I have to do it. I do it because I choose to.”

Jen’s work ethic is complemented by an appreciation for the bank’s internal culture. She values camaraderie in the office, noting our Christmas decorating party as a way we build great departmental unity. “Our mentorship programs and team building meetings build community and relationships across the bank as a whole,” she says. “When we come together, it means something.”

From our small downtown office to the six locations we’ve grown into over the past 15 years, Jen has had a hand in it all. “The one thing that hasn’t changed is the experience we bring to our clients. Many of our clients have never been to our office, because we serve them by taking care of their needs,” Jen said. “That’s why I love what I do.”
